(Nadzar) Vow in Islam

Has been the principal provisions of the problems of monotheism, any form of absolute worship directed to God alone, not to other than Him. In other words, when the main motivation is to do worship besides Allah, as if to gain praise and flattery, then the perpetrators have been plunged into a ravine kesyirikan. Wal 'iyadzu biillah.

Vow is Worship

Dear Readers, one of the forms of worship that must be addressed to God alone is the vow. A vow is an act that requires him to conduct a worship to God, which basically it is not mandatory [1].

Among the arguments that show a vow of worship is the word of God ta'alaa in surat Al-Insaan paragraph 7, which meant

"They fulfill vows and fear a day azabnya evenly everywhere."

In this verse, Allah praises His servants who perform the vow and make it as one of the reasons that they can enter into heaven. It can be concluded that the vow is the worship, because of an act that could lead to the perpetrators get into heaven is worship.

In addition, God also commanded His servants to complete the vow in surat Al-Hajj verse 29. The order to improve the vow is a vow shows that worship [2].

Subject to the provisions mentioned above, can we draw the conclusion that a man who did vow with the intention or motivation other than God, then he has done since has turned kesyirikan worship to other than Allah.

Irregularities in Issue vow

There are several irregularities surrounding the vow that is often done by some of the Muslims, among the deviations is in the level of immorality, and some even go into kesyirikan and kufr. Wal 'iyadzu billahi. Here we describe between the deviation,

a) Bernadzar to engage in immoral acts of God. This is such a word, "I bernadzar by Allah to steal." Vow of this kind forbidden to fulfilled, although the intention is aimed vow to God, because it is impossible to worship God by disobedience. Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,

لا وفاء لنذر في معصية

"There can be adulterous in order to fulfill vow to God." [3]. Mandatory for perpetrators of this kind of vow to cancel and pay kaffarah nadzarnya oath, as the words of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam,

من نذر نذرا في معصية, فكفارته كفارة يمين

"Whoever bernadzar in order to engage in immoral acts of God, then (should he pay) kaffarah oath." [4].

b) Bernadzar to other than Allah, such as the act of a person who went to the cemetery deeds and then said, "I bernadzar by clerics so and so" or saying, "I bernadzar for this grave," with intent to draw closer to them. No doubt this is an issue kesyirikan perpetrators of Islam, because it has turned worship to other than Allah.

c) The form of irregularities in the issue vow which is also often done by some people and is a derivative of a second form of deviation is as said by Sheikh Qasim al-Hanafi in Syarh Duraril Bihar, "The vow is often done most of the awwam (the vow made ) on the side of the graves, like one who expects the return of loved ones who have long disappeared, a man who was sick and in need of healing or she has a need, then visit the grave of the righteous, put a cloth veil covering her head and pleaded grave , "O master so and so, if God restore my relatives who have been long gone, or cure illness, or perform hajatku. So (I'm obliged to give) unto gold, or silver, or food, water or olive oil. Vow of this kind of vanity based cleric agreement with the following reasons: first, it is a form of bernadzar to the creature, while the creature vow vow is haraam because it is worship and worship should not be aimed at the creature. Second, the media became the object of the target vow is a pile of dead person, when dead person is not able to do something else (for themselves, especially for others). Third, players vow believes that the deceased was able to do something, (either provide benefits or eliminate the danger of him) besides Allah, when such a belief is a belief in disbelief. "[5].

Vow of this kind of Islam issued a culprit, because it makes the dead person as an intermediary to get closer to God ta'alaa them. God categorize people who believe like this as idolaters in his word, which means,

"And they worship (god) besides Allah, something which can not bring kemudharatan to them and not (also) benefit, and they said:" They are givers Syafa'at to us on the side of God. " (Yunus: 18).

Allah wa tabaraka ta'alaa also said, which meant

"And those who take protectors other than Allah (say):" We do not worship them only that they get closer to God with us in close enough "(Az Zumaar: 3). In this verse, Allah clearly proclaim that among the beliefs polytheism is the belief that circulated widely in the midst of the Muslims that the righteous dead person can be an intermediary who can bring one to God ta'alaa.

d) Some players even though bernadzar vow to God, they believe that their needs will not be fulfilled but with bernadzar first. Such beliefs are wrong and one of berburuk thought to Allah, the Beneficent and Mahapemberi Essence to His servants. The scholars' say, "Surely anyone who believes that his needs will not be fulfilled but with bernadzar, then the conviction is haraam. Because he believes that God will not give (gift to His servant) except in the presence of rewards. This is one form berburuk thought to God and the belief that one against him, just the opposite of God is the Essence which is very generous in giving favors to His servants. "[6].

Type vow

Maybe some people ask why the vow is considered worship, even though the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam hated it and never said,

إنه لا يأتي بخير

"Indeed vow not bring good." [7].

Before answering this question, we need to know what kind of vow in terms of why. Based on this review, vow divided into two, namely:

a) vow muthlaq, namely a bernadzar to perform worship to God, without expectation of compensation from God, as a greeting, "I bernadzar to fasting 3 days in a row because of God." Ulama 'said the vow of this kind are not included in the above statement of the Prophet, because he bernadzar without worldly expectation of reward.

b) muqayyad vow, a bernadzar to worship God as he expects in return, like a man who says, "If God healed me, then I will fast a week in a row." Or the one who says, "O Allah, if thou meluluskanku in national exams , then I will give alms few hundred thousand. "People who carry out this type requires something vow, which, if met, then himself perform such worship. This type of vow is said by the scholars 'are included in the above hadith and censured by the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam in his saying,

وإنما يستخرج به من البخيل

"Indeed vow to function only for people who want to do charity charity stingy." [8].

Never Used Bernadzar!

Maybe that should be contemplated by those who often bernadzar is vow should not be a habit, even though the form of absolute and is not intended to replace the God ta'alaa expect, because sometimes players are not able to vow fulfilled perfectly and in its application contains many errors and shortcomings, so that he fell into sin [9].

The bernadzar to God with a hope to replace, and should be abandoned, because it features a stingy man in charity. Perpetrators have been disifati by the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam as a stingy person, because a miser is not willing to do charity to which he submitted met the requirements, so there is like a merchant who expected reward [10].

Keep in mind though such acts perform the vow is something that is praised by God as a description that has past.

We ask Allah to make ourselves sincere and true in the charity, surely He Mahamengabulkan pray. May the blessings and greetings devoted to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, family, friends, and they are always upright on his Tawheed and Sunnah. Aamin.
